The Commonwealth Aged Care Information Line provides information about disability, aged care and other support services for people who are 65 years or older and their carers. If you are under 65 and have a disability or condition that restricts your day-to-day living, you may be eligible for support through the Community Care program – You can contact your local Community Care provider directly, or phone your local Community Access Point on 1800 600 300. You do not need a referral.

The Alzheimer’s Association of Queensland provides a continuum of care for people with Dementia and their carers – from our 24 hour Dementia Helpline, to respite options and residential care homes. The Alzheimer’s Association of Queensland’s services are available 24 hours a day and offer a range of flexible options including in-home, overnight, centre based day respite and support for working carers.

Home Instead Senior Care is a private non-medical provider of home care services for older people including companionship, personal assistance with showering and dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, errands and incidental transport. Our services have been specifically developed to enable older people to retain their independence and live in their own homes for as long as possible.
As our services are private, there are no assessments required and services can start immediately. In addition, clients can change their schedule to suit their needs and circumstances. Clients often utilise our services to enhance existing services that they receive at home or in care facilities such as hospitals, retirement villages and nursing homes.
Care is available from two hours a day, seven days a week, including public holidays.
